The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.

But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have pressed up the rate of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one business is taking benefit of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into . It's proving successful too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
